Crowns

A crown is often regarded as a ‘cap’ and is indicated when the remaining tooth or teeth is heavily broken down and is used in order to embrace the tooth and avoid further damage. In other words a crown will permanently hold the tooth together so it will provide protection and strengthen the tooth / teeth. Sometimes it is inevitable to involve other dental specialties in order to pre-treat or reposition the tooth or teeth before capping.
